Questions, answered

Everything people ask before they request a visit.

No. The online number is a starting band — a planning range built from your answers, not a quote. Your written price locks when I confirm the job in person: I see the surfaces, measure what needs measuring, and write the scope and the exact price down. That written price is fixed — it only changes if you approve a written change to the scope. Real per-room and per-home-size bands are on the cost guides page.

Meisam's voice note is on the way

Meisam — the person who answers your estimate, brush in hand. No crew of strangers, no subcontractor relay.

Not yet — that's the honest answer. Huetura does not currently carry business liability insurance. Your written scope states exactly what we're responsible for, agreed in writing before anything starts. When we do carry it, this answer changes.

The estimator gives you a preliminary range in under a minute — a range on purpose, because nobody can price a room they haven't seen. Simple projects may be finalized from sufficient photos; larger or uncertain scopes require a free site visit — either way, you get a firm price in writing. The approved scope price stays fixed. It only changes if you approve a written change to the scope. What Calgary jobs actually cost answers the money question directly.

Real bands from the same pricing engine behind our estimator. A 3-room interior repaint: $1,000–$1,540. A full exterior on a ~2,000 sq ft two-storey: $4,240–$6,180 for vinyl or fibre-cement siding, $4,900–$7,080 for stucco, $5,330–$7,690 for wood. A 100 ft painted fence: $890–$1,330 one side, $1,450–$2,170 both sides. Twenty cabinet openings (12 doors + 8 drawers) in wood: $1,320–$1,940. What moves a price inside its band — interiors: room size, surface condition, whether ceilings and trim are included; exteriors: siding type, prep needed, storeys and access; fences: one side or both, length, wood condition; cabinets: opening count, material, existing finish. These are preliminary ranges; the price we approve in writing after seeing the work is fixed — it only changes if you approve a written change to the scope. The full breakdown lives on the how we charge page.

A preliminary price range based on your answers — the rooms, the surfaces, and their condition. Every home differs, so it stays a range until we've seen the work. Your final quote always includes paint and materials, with GST the only thing added on top; then a site visit or sufficient photos turn it into a firm price in writing.

The honest answer: we don't have a fixed deposit policy. No money changes hands before there's a written agreement — your quote states the full price and the payment schedule in defined stages (what, if anything, is due before we start, and what's due at each stage) before any work starts, and nothing is ever added mid-job without your written approval.

We agree the payment schedule with you in writing before any work starts — never a surprise. Ask us at the estimate and we'll spell it out.

Yes. Every quote includes paint and materials — quality paint, primer and everything else needed for the job. GST is the only thing added on top.

Not yet — Huetura does not currently carry WCB coverage either. The person who estimates your job is the person who paints it — no crew of strangers, no subcontractor relay.

Yes — Meisam speaks Persian. Call, text, or write in the language you're comfortable with.

If something we painted fails because of our workmanship, we come back and make it right. Before anything starts, your written scope states exactly what we stand behind — agreed in writing. No surprises — plain-language terms.

We don't publish a fixed warranty period. What we do stand behind is written into your scope: if something we painted fails because of our workmanship, we come back and make it right.

Quality two-coat systems from established manufacturers, matched to your surfaces — washable finishes where hands land, durable coatings outside. The exact product is confirmed at the estimate stage, never chosen on autopilot.

That is exactly what the colour studio and the physical samples are for. Final colour is confirmed with real samples in your own light, at the time of day you use the room, before we open a can. We never ask you to sign off on a colour you have only seen on a screen.

Run the estimator and send your details — every inquiry gets a personal reply, usually the same evening, and we confirm a visit time in writing. If it's urgent, call or text (825) 964-4310.

We look at the surfaces in your own light, talk through what you want, and bring physical colour samples so nothing is decided from a screen. Then you get the scope — surfaces, prep, coats, exclusions — and the exact price, in writing. No pressure, no obligation.

Honestly, it depends on our current schedule. Send your details through the estimator and we will confirm a start window in writing. Every inquiry gets a personal reply — usually the same evening — and if it is urgent, call or text (825) 964-4310.

A few rooms usually take two to four days; a full exterior is about a week, scheduled around Calgary weather. You get an agreed start window and timeline in writing at the visit — never a guess on the phone.

Exterior season in Calgary runs roughly late May to early September — paint needs reliable warmth to cure properly, and we won't paint over a questionable forecast to win a job. Book the estimate early in the season; the calendar fills first.

Short answer: we watch the forecast, not the calendar. Paint needs a stable window — several hours of proper temperature and dry air — to bond and cure properly. A chinook's temperature swings and wind-blown dust are terrible conditions for a fresh coat, so we never start exterior work we can't finish inside a good window. If your week isn't paintable, we'll tell you honestly.

Yes — that's part of the job. Furniture and floors are protected while we work, and we leave the space as we found it.

Call or text (825) 964-4310 — one number, answered by the person doing the work. I paint during the day, so I usually reply the same evening. Anything urgent on site, we sort out on the spot.

Yes — call or text (825) 964-4310 as early as you can and we'll find new dates. If you need to cancel outright, the terms are whatever we agreed in writing before you booked.

Yes. The instant range online is free — a planning band built from your answers, not a sales call. The firm price in writing comes after the free site visit (simple projects can sometimes be finalized from sufficient photos instead). No salesperson needs to come to your home to get you started, and the visit itself carries no pressure and no obligation.

Yes — really. The instant range online is free, and the site visit that turns it into a firm written price is free too. No obligation, and no money changes hands before there's a written agreement.
